A prime example is the Liyu Platinum Q3XL – this printer has Ricoh Gen 6 printheads with support for up to 24 printheads, with five picolitres and 2400 dpi, allowing PSPs to achieve photo print quality. It even lets you individually control the 20 sections within the LED bar to print unique matte and varnish finishes.

Printer range

Liyu’s wide-format printer range includes flatbed, hybrid, and roll-to-roll printers, including the versatile XLINE series, suitable for printing vinyl, backlit banners, photo paper, billboard paper, flex, textiles, mesh, and many more materials.

Liyu PLATINUM HYBRID Q3-XL

The PLATINUM HYBRID Q3-XL from Liyu represents the latest in wide-format hybrid UV printing technology — its prints 3.2 metres wide and can handle a wide range of rigid and flexible media up to 5cm thick.

Productivity features like an automated material loading system, continuous printing capabilities, and an anti-static system ensure easy management. The print quality is exceptional, with a maximum 2400dpi resolution and a minimum 5pl droplet size across the CMYK+LcLmWhite+Varnish ink channels.

Accelerated drying uses both UV and LED curing lamps. It balances efficiency and quality for discerning print providers with four vacuum zones, automatic material height measurement, and mid-range print speeds of around 120m2/hr.

Liyu PLATINUM EQ2

While slightly narrower at 2.05m, the PLATINUM EQ2 is a fantastic roller-to-roll printer for quality wide-format LED prints.

It can still tackle rigid media up to 5cm thick or flexible roll materials like vinyl or textiles. It uses large 13pl droplets yet achieves 2880dpi photorealistic quality across CMYK+White+LcLm inks.

An LED curing system reduces operating costs compared to mercury UV lamps. Local vacuum zones ensure precise material hold-down for distortion-free results.

Speeds up to 90m2/hr, automated roll-feeding, and your choice of Ricoh Gen5 or Gen6 printheads make the EQ2 a highly capable hybrid solution.

Liyu PLATINUM KCXL+ Flatbed

Focused purely on rigid materials, the PLATINUM KCXL+ UV LED flatbed printer from Liyu delivers industrial-grade performance.

Its 3x2m vacuum table and 100mm maximum print height can handle virtually any rigid or thick substrate, such as wood, aluminium composites, plastics, and corrugated board.

Advanced automation features include:

• Collision/safety sensors.
• Dual vacuum motors.
• Media support pins.
• Automatic material height mapping to streamline production.

It achieves incredible 2400dpi quality using Ricoh Gen6 printheads and CMYK+White+LcLm+Varnish inks at speeds up to 400m2/hr for outstanding productivity.

Liyu PLATINUM QR 5mt

The frankly enormous PLATINUM QR roller printer (5.3 m) captures attention when true grand-format print widths are required.

Built for high-speed output up to 145m2/hr at 2880dpi across an 11-channel CMYK+LcLmWhite+Varnish ink set, it excels at applications such as banners, signage, vehicle wraps, and textiles on transfer papers.

UV and LED curing systems ensure compatibility with any flexible media, and the industrial-duty platform can handle 5500kg roll weights with precise media control.

Multiple printhead options from 4 to 16 let you tailor print capabilities to specific production needs – think films, vinyl, and roller blinds.
