We are looking for talented and experienced people in the following role: Sales Ledger Clerk, full time hours (Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 5pm) Salary: Competitive with excellent company benefits The Role: Supporting the Accounts supervisor and other members of the Accounts team with the finance administration, specific duties as detailed below. A key part of this role will be to support the team in reviewing the current processes and implementing improvements to maximise efficiency. Main Duties: Chasing customer debt via telephone and email Weekly reconciliation of each bank account Entering of all customer receipts for all 3 ledgers on to Sage Matching customer receipts against sales invoices Maintenance of the customer records Regular checking of credit limits and performing credit checks Maintenance of credit hound Issue customer invoices and credit notes Assist sales team with disputes Identify cross selling opportunities Customer statement reconciliations Reviewing existing processes and recommending / implementing improvements to maximise efficiency, utilising relevant electronic systems. Any other duties as required to support the Accounts team. Essential Requirements: GCSE at least grade C in English and Maths Experience in performing the main duties of the role At least 3 years accounts experience in a high volume credit control position A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access and Word) and Sage Line 50 A good understanding of transactional accounts (Receivables and Payables) and processes.
