Mesh Banner

Mesh banners with or without liners for outdoor use

Mesh banners are ideal for outdoor advertising because they have thousands of small perforations that let air through. In other words, a mesh banner’s weave or interlaced fabric is breathable, making it resistant to high winds.

Our range of mesh banner materials offers outstanding performance for outdoor banner applications, particularly in elevated and roadside locations where wind can cause excessive strain on solid PVC banners.

Products include Vistaflex ML400 with a liner, and Vistaflex M270M290, and PX290 without a liner. The addition of a liner makes the mesh banner easier to print but is only necessary in some cases.  Check your printer to see if it has been supplied with a mesh kit before deciding which material to use.

Most of our mesh banners are available in FR to B1 certification and in 2.4m, 2.6m and 3.2m widths for wide, and superwide format printing.

Our high-quality PVC mesh is designed for optimal airflow and image reproduction and is compatible with all ink types, including solvent, eco-solvent, UV, and latex.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are mesh banners?

Mesh banners are lightweight mesh print materials for windy areas. The mesh has thousands of perforations to reduce wind resistance, making them useful for indoor and outdoor areas exposed to airflow.

What are mesh banners made from?

Mesh banners are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) treated with elastomers to make the plastic flexible rather than rigid. The polyester base weave is produced as a single sheet on the manufacturing line and is coated with PVC

What are the different types of mesh banners?

Mesh banners are lined or unlined and categorised by material weight, with a heavier material suitable for extreme applications. For example, Vistaflex ML400 is 400g/m2, while Vistaflex M290 is 290g/m2. The liner is designed to prevent ink spilling onto the platen which would mark the reverse side of the material. Many printers are supplied with mesh kits or ink collectors for mesh banners without liner.

What are the applications of mesh banners?

Mesh banners are perfect for long-lasting indoor and outdoor signage, notices, exhibition and event displays, hoardings, screens, and advertisements in windy areas, particularly in elevated and roadside locations.

How to install mesh banners?

Our mesh banners can be hemmed for installation with rope or ties. Depending on the fixings, you can use nylon ropes, zip ties, hanging clips, or bungees. Make sure to eliminate slack in the banner so that it doesn't flap in the wind.
